DNS Industries designs and manufactures custom display fixtures and visual merchandising millwork in Vaughan, Ontario. Display cases, merchandising walls, gondolas, shop-in-shop units and brand displays are engineered in one set of shop drawings and assembled in one facility, combining millwork, metal, acrylic, glass, solid surface and LED lighting. We build single feature pieces and programs that roll out to hundreds of locations.
A display fixture has to hold product at the right height and density, light it well, and stand up to daily restocking and customer handling without losing the brand’s look. Most custom displays combine several trades: a display case is a cabinet, a frame, a glass enclosure and a lighting system in one piece.
Every material is detailed in one set of shop drawings, and each fixture is assembled and checked in Vaughan before it ships. See materials and finishes for finish options.
Most display work is repeat production: one approved fixture built many times. Our programs include:
For how an approved pilot becomes the standard that later fixtures are built to, see retail store fixtures and rollout programs.
Good visual merchandising depends on decisions made before the fixture is built: shelf heights and depths that match the product, adjustable increments that suit the planogram, lighting aimed at the product with glare controlled, and sightlines that suit the store layout. We work those details out in shop drawings with your design or merchandising team, then prove them on a first-article or pilot unit before production. For the fixture types and the decisions behind them, see our visual merchandising fixtures guide.
Store fixtures is the broader term for the purpose-built casework, counters and displays in a retail space, including cash wraps, fitting rooms and back-of-house casework. Display fixtures are the subset whose main job is presenting product: cases, walls, tables and shop-in-shop units.
Both. Many programs start as one pilot unit. Once the pilot is approved, it becomes the reference for production, with any site-specific variants documented.
Yes. LED lighting, wiring paths, locks and the specified glazing are designed into the fixture in the shop drawings rather than added on site. Lit fixtures are built with the LED components the project specifies. In Canada the electrical equipment must carry approval recognized by the provincial electrical authority, and a pre-wired custom assembly may need a certification or field-evaluation mark of its own, so the approval route is confirmed with the project’s electrical consultant at that stage. See illuminated display fixtures.
It depends on drawing and finish approvals, material lead times and the size of the order; approvals are often the longest part. See store fixture lead times for how schedules are built, or send us the drawings for a project-specific answer.
