The Hunny Pot Cannabis Co. runs a quick-serve model: product is shown in glass cases and orders are filled at the counter. DNS Industries has produced the fixture packages for the chain’s Ontario stores since the first order in 2022: more than 40 locations, completed and in progress.
A Hunny Pot store is assembled from a short list of fixture types: tall glass-door display cases, floor display cases in two widths, an in-wall cash desk with acrylic barrier, hex wall and floor displays, the drip logo wall, wall panels, and kiosk and clothing units. Smaller stores take fewer of each; larger ones add a second cash desk or more wall cases. Because the parts repeat, DNS produced shop drawings and value-engineered details for each recurring fixture type against the client’s design.
The casework is black melamine with white and black laminate faces. Cash desks carry white Corian tops with clear acrylic and perforated-metal details. Display cases use 10 mm polished-edge glass shelves and 6 mm glass doors; the hex units use acrylic shelves and doors. Glass is UV-bonded where joints show, and the gold-finish aluminum channel and hardware match the slat wall. All of them are commercially available materials suited to repeat production, which is what a rollout needs.
DNS drafts, machines, finishes and assembles the fixtures in Vaughan, Ontario, packs them by store and delivers to site. DNS installed a number of the stores, including Kitchener (Ottawa Street), Ottawa (Bank Street), Toronto (Pacific Avenue) and Oshawa (Ritson Road); other locations were delivered to site for installation.
DNS Industries Limited manufactures store fixtures for multi-location retailers and the designers and contractors who build for them. For a rollout, start with rollout programs or get in touch. Other cannabis projects: Mihi, Mellow Leaf and Fika.
