Fika Company’s cannabis retail banners include Fika, Fire & Flower, Friendly Stranger and Prairie Records. DNS Industries drafts and manufactures store fixtures for stores across these banners, so each keeps its own look while the drawings and production behind them come from one shop.
Each banner has its own palette and fixture language. Fire & Flower is white casework with orange and red accents and wall-hung glass display cases in concrete-look frames. Fika is rift-cut white oak cubbies and a long POS counter. Friendly Stranger uses gloss white acrylic display cabinets. What they share is the way DNS builds them: shop drawings approved per store, recurring door hardware, lock and LED details, and finish schedules that can be reordered.
The Union Station store is built around product cubbies: two long banks of cubbies in rift-cut white oak veneer with solid white oak trim, lit from inside. The cash desk runs about 17 feet with six POS positions, a Corian Rain Cloud top, lockable glass doors, push-to-open cabinet doors and an LED run under the counter edge. Installation was planned as an overnight job around the station’s hours; the tile on the cash-desk fascia was by others.
For the Fika Wellness shop on Mapleview Drive West, Barrie, DNS built a modular cubby and display system about nine feet wide, arranged as three cubby towers over lower drawers, with LED lighting front and back. The exterior is gloss white laminate with a white melamine interior, glass doors and chrome hardware. The system is drawn so it can be re-cut to the span of other shops if the banner grows.
