POUTx Clinic Toronto: Custom Millwork for an AZ Award-Winning Interior

POUTx is an injectables clinic of about 75 square metres (800 sq ft) at 89 King Street East in downtown Toronto. Studio Author designed it, and the interior won the Clinical category at the 2025 AZ Awards, along with the People’s Choice award in that category. DNS Industries built the millwork, the stainless-steel welcome desk and the acrylic partitions for general contractor Carbon Building Group.

The design

Studio Author’s interior pairs saturated reds and pinks with micro-cement, stainless steel and red acrylic. Two open treatment pods sit in view of the welcome desk, separated by red acrylic panels on a red tubular frame.

Matching the red

With the same red on walls, partitions and millwork, any shift in shade or sheen stands out. The painted panels were matched to the designer’s red sample.

Built in our Vaughan shop in late 2023 and installed in early 2024.
